Ayew hasn't shown much, but enough to suggest there's a good player out of form in there.
Worth sticking with in case we get a good player in form.
Not opposed to Chadli on principle, but I really only watch other teams when they play us, and in the fragments of matches you get on MotD. If people whose job it is to know the quality of possible transfer targets reckon he's worth it, I'll go along with their opinion until it's proved wrong... but wouldn't want him in as a swap.

Ayew is no world beater and was silly at 20 mil, but Chadli is bang average.
I know you have to build slowly, but we really are constantly linked was dross.

Say what you want about Ayew but he scores goals. 10-15 goals next season from him easy if he stays fit.

Ayew will hopefully start showing that he's more than a fox in the box and after a pre season, show us a more complete footballer.
Chadli was over the hill when Albion bought him, which is why Spurs let him go.
I can't believe I keep reading these stories, is everybody in authority, from the PM down, taking shit decision pills!

If it's Chadli plus cash I'd make that deal. Ayew's open play performances are poor it's hard to see how he'll fit into the side. He's not a striker, not a winger, not creative. His "knack" is seemingly 5 yard tap ins. Also as a bench option he's not a game changer.
Arnautovic looks likely, Lanzini and Antonio (plus a proper striker whoever that is) are shoe ins. Leaves Ayew on the bench, and frankly Chadli plus cash fulfils that role more effectively.

I rate Ayew. More to the point, a great deal more than Cadli.
It's a shame as I think Ayew would have linked up well with Payet, Lanzini and Carroll as a regular attacking 4. Never got the chance though,

seriously has to be a wind up, Chadli went for £11m or so Ayew £20m, Chadli can't even get in West Brom 1st 11. This would be one of the biggest piss take deals ever and we've quite alot of them over the years.
